Following the success of the first Global Forum in 2026, the World Health Organization is pleased to announce the Second Global Forum of WHO Collaborating Centres, to take place in Geneva, Switzerland from 7–9 April 2027 at WHO Headquarters.
With the theme “Connecting Science, Advancing Health”, the Forum will bring together WHO Collaborating Centres, WHO leadership, partners and scientific and technical institutions from around the world to connect science, strengthen collaboration and advance health.
The Second Global Forum will provide a platform to:
- Strengthen global collaboration and knowledge exchange across the WHOCC network
- Reinforce the role of science in addressing today's complex health challenges
- Create opportunities for Centres to showcase scientific and technical contributions to health outcomes and WHO priorities
- Consolidate links between WHO, Collaborating Centres, Member States, donors and partner organizations to address current and emerging global health challenges
- Advance the dialogue on the evolution of the WHOCC network towards a more connected and partnership-oriented model.
Through high-level discussions, interactive sessions, scientific exchange and networking opportunities to showcase innovation and expertise, the Forum will build on the momentum of the first Global Forum and further strengthen the WHO Collaborating Centres network as a platform for global scientific and technical collaboration.
The Second Global Forum will be a fully in-person two-and-a-half-day meeting, with selected high-level plenary sessions livestreamed to virtual audiences.
